When I got started in business, I used a contact manager program called Jana contact. As with most software companies they ended up going under, so there goes customer service. My next contact program was palm desktop. By this time my contacts had grown to about 400 customers. As my business grew so did my demands of my contact program. I came to a point that I out grew my contact program; so I looked into ACT. By this time my contact list had grown to over 1500 contacts, which included addresses, notes and such. I soon found out that the ACT program was not compatable with Palm desktop so the information from one was not going to transfer over to the other. I found that if I was going to use ACT contract software I was going to have to literally input each and every contact with each detail which would cost me many days or weeks to complete. I did not have the time or energy. That's when I met Dale. Just in a passing conversation, I told him of my dilemma. He told me that he was a software programer and that he could reprogram the software to accept all my information. I told him that if he could do that, he was worth his weight in gold. I gave Dale the info and in less than a week he had all of my information transfered into the new software as if it had been there all along.
